TreeSize accepts wildcards in paths, simply tell TreeSize to scan \\Server\?$ in the folder combo on the top left or at the command line.

By changing the option "Follow mount points and symbolic links" in the Options of TreeSize, you can control if mount points and symbolic links should be followed or if they should be excluded from the calculations.

TreeSize can scan Linux/Unix servers using the SSH protocol (see "Scan Targets"). Alternatively, if Samba is installed and running on the Linux/Unix system, our tools can access a share on this system using its UNC name, e.g. \\ComputerName\ShareName.

If the file system on the Linux/Unix system is accessible through NFS, then it can be accessed if the NFS support for Windows is installed. For Windows 7 and higher (Professional / Enterprise Edition), please go to the Control Panel and activate the "Services for NFS" under "Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off".
Then you can mount an NFS share to a drive letter using this command:
mount \\ComputerName\ShareName N:

It might be necessary to create the following registry values if you have trouble connecting the NFS drive:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ClientForNFS\CurrentVersion\Default\AnonymousUidas DWORD with the decimal value 10011.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ClientForNFS\CurrentVersion\Default\AnonymousGidas DWORD with the decimal value 10012.

Generally, you still need to be within your maintenance period to be able to update the product. If you are not, you can reactivate or extend it at any time.

The easiest way is to use the "Check for update" button on the "Help" ribbon bar within the program. The program then checks for the latest available version and installs it.

It is also possible to download the installer for the latest version of TreeSize from our customer area. The login details for our customer area have been emailed to you after the purchase and are printed on the license document. To upgrade older versions, simply run the installation file, the old version does not need to be deleted before. Your user settings will still be preserved during the upgrade.

You probably haven't activated the full version yet. Instructions for activation can be found here.

To activate the full version, you only need to enter your personal license key in the application. To do this, start the application and select “Enter license key” under “Help”. You can find your license key in the license document in the e-mail that you received from us after your purchase, or alternatively in our customer area.

Please note: If your test period has already expired, a dialog will appear automatically when you start the application, in which you can enter your license key.

The evaluation copy allows you to test the software before you buy it. Further usage of the software after that period is not permitted and violates the law. In order to allow our customers to fully test our software products, the evaluation copy does not contain functional limitations, except: In the File Search the "Delete/Move/Archive" operation processes only a certain amount of checked files per execution, and the software may remind you from time to time that you should purchase the software after your testing is finished.

Please check our comparison matrix.

Please note that the Personal edition supports network drives only in typical home networks, where the computer running TreeSize Personal is not part of a Windows domain and the remote system is not a Windows server.

When uploading an Office file to SharePoint, the SharePoint itself alters the file. As such, they differ binary and can no longer be considered duplicates when comparing their MD5 checksums.
This can be verified by uploading a file twice, download both files again and compare their binary values and/or checksums.

Other file formats (e.g. PDF, PNG, ..) are - by default - not being altered by SharePoint and work as expected.
