Why does the content field of the archive/mail search not find partial words?

Question / Problem

When I enter a partial world (e.g. "Hel") into the content field of the archive search, an email with the content "Hello" is not found. Why not?

Answer / Solution

This might be caused by a feature of your database that is called "full text search". Full text search allows running performant word searches, but requires that full words are entered.
