Blacklist / Whitelist entries are missing after update

Question / Problem

I have updated the Exchange Server Toolbox to version 6.0. Now all of my blacklist and whitelist entries are missing. How can I restore them?

Answer / Solution

You can find backups of your blacklist and whitelist settings in the following folder: „C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\.spamassassin\backup“

 

In case these folders are empty or missing you can try to restore the file user_prefs from one of the following directories using a filesystem backup:

  • C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\.spamassassin\
  • C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\.spamassassin\
