How can I change the location/folder of my DataCentral index?

Answer / Solution

Please follow these steps to change the location of the index:

  1. Stop the “SpaceObServer DataCentral” service.
  2. Find out the current index location. You can see it in the settings > Index Service. The default value is “C:\ProgramData\JAM Software\SpaceObServer\Indices”
  3. Move everything from that path to the new location, e.g: “D:\SpaceObServer\IndexStorage\”.
  4. Open the “appsettings.json” file (located in “C:\Program Files\JAM Software\SpaceObServer\IndexServer”) in an editor, enter “D:\SpaceObServer\IndexStorage\” as “BaseDirectory”, and save.
  5. Start the “SpaceObServer DataCentral” service.
